Vanessa Hudgens Gave Boyfriend Austin Butler ‘Chills’ During ‘Grease Live’ Performance
Although it was all big smiles and bright lights on NBC’s Grease Live for Vanessa Hudgens, the star struggled to keep it together backstage after the show wrapped as she mourned the death of her father. Accompanied by her handsome boyfriend, Austin Butler, the pair headed to a yoga class for some rest and relaxation after such an eventful weekend.

“Grease: Live” averaged 12.2 million viewers, a healthy number and higher than those for rival NBC’s three recent live-musical outings save the first one, “The Sound of Music”.
If you were watching Sunday night, what did you think? Olivia gave a special shoutout to Julianne Hough, her successor as Sandy, along with former castmates Didi Conn and Barry Pearl, who both had cameos in the show.
When Grease: Live ended, the ending credits paid tribute to Vanessa Hudgens’s father.
Fox shook up our Sunday night with the premiere of it’s electrifyin’ musical “Grease: Live”. Instead of choosing to understandably sit out the performance, Hudgens embraced the “show must go on” mentality and blew the minds of viewers everywhere.
Any performer to don the Pink Lady jacket as Rizz would be compared to Channing, but Hudgens made the role her own throughout Grease: Live. “Doing #greaselive was one of the most incredible experience and I’m so glad you guys liked it as much as I did”, the actress captioned the Instagram. Vanessa’s rawness as Rizzo was the talk of Twitter, Julianne Hough is THE sweet singing blonde meant to play Sandy and, well, Aaron Tveit. “Wow”, tweeted actor Mario Lopez, who called the actress his “new superhero”. She knew that she had to put that in a box for a few hours and use it to fuel her performance… We asked her if her family would come.
