This has been far from a vintage year for Manning, who missed six consecutive starts due to a heel injury and when he did return, for the first time in his Hall of Fame career he stood on the sidelines – as backup to Brock Osweiler. He highlighted the number of big plays they’ve made with the game on the line and says he’s never coached such a talented unit.

Most critics thought the NFC wildcard matchup between the Panthers and the Seattle Seahawks would be a hard fought battle, considering the Seahawks were in last year’s Super Bowl and have face-of-the-league Russell Wilson manning the helm.
