Facebook will finally address the demand for a “Dislike” button by providing its users with five more “Reactions” to choose from.

Reactions have already been tested in countries like Spain, Ireland, Chile, the Philippines, Portugal, and Colombia.

Be Civil – It’s OK to have a difference in opinion but there’s no need to be a jerk.

In future, you’ll see the like button and when you press and hold it down, you’ll see four other emotions or expressions that you can use including “haha”, “shock”, love and “wow”.

Chris Cox, Facebook’s chief product officer, revealed that “Reactions” – the social media’s upgrade of the “Like” button, will soon be available worldwide. The online giant has been dodging its users’ requests of launching a new Dislike button.

Zuckerberg’s net worth increased $4.85 billion to $46.25 billion, as Facebook stock climbed 12% in reaction to reports of Facebook’s strong quarterly earnings report. The company was searching for more ways that users could express their reaction to a status with a single button. The reactions would pop up as animated emojis. The option can be quite restrictive and, therefore, the introduction of Reactions will offer more appropriate response options for posts that one really cannot like, allowing a user to engage in the conversation.

Facebook is introducing six new emojis as a way to react to posts alongside the “like” button. The news came after the release of Facebook’s latest financial results, which topped even the most optimistic estimates. The company won’t say exactly when the new feature will roll out to everyone, but they did say it will be “in the next few weeks”.
