However if you want a challenge, then maybe you might be interested in a Kickstarter project called the Air Bonsai.
The following option is yet another Air Bonsai Basic Set priced at $230 with the same contents, but it comes with the little star lava, a plant base made out of igneous rock, nstead of moss.
Think again. A Japanese company called Air Bonsai is selling levitating bonsai trees that are blowing minds.
Floating bonsai trees combine the bliss of Zen and science of magnets to create, along with electricity, to create yet another way to fascinate one’s friends and family, and freak out the household cat. Seeing the plants and trees floating in the air defying the effect of gravity is completely magical.
While owning a floating bonsai tree might seem to be a fantastic idea to many people, the $200 starting price, which does not even include an actual bonsai tree, might put off some potential consumers and be considered a drawback. The plants use the same floating technologies the floating speakers use.
Hoshi and Imayoshi recently smashed through their ,000 funding goal and have so far raised an impressive $140,000 from 585 backers.
Pledgers will be able to get their hands on the Air Bonsai Basic Set for $200. We may not all have hoverboards yet, but at least we can have hoverplants. So their creation consists of two main components – “little star” and “energy base”. Just take a look on the Kickstarter page to convince yourself.
In other news Smithsonianmag reported, every so often, the advances by scientists and engineers come together in a enchanting way. The little star floats 2 cm above the base and you can place the plant on a sponge insert.
As with so many great, futuristic inventions, these levitating trees originate in Japan and specifically from the southern island of Kyushu. The plant that you choose is contained within a floating ball.
Air Bonsai presumably comes with a few limitations though.
