Donald Trump Says Ted Cruz Broke the Law to Win Iowa

The controversy erupted after CNN reported Monday night that Carson would go home to Florida following the Iowa caucuses instead of flying directly to the early voting states New Hampshire and SC.

According to a new survey from Public Policy Polling, only four points separate front-runner Donald Trump from Iowa Republican caucus victor Texas Sen. Several social media users tweeted screengrabs of an alleged deleted tweet from Trump’s official account, in which he said Cruz had “illegally” stolen the vote.

The Republican presidential candidate who has defied expectations since the day he entered the race did so again Monday night after failing to capture the top spot in the Iowa caucuses. He is now their hope to head off Trump and Cruz and mount a credible challenge for the White House.

Campaigning in Goffstown Ted Cruz said that Donald Trump is “losing it” because he can’t handle having been beaten in the Iowa caucus.

“Carson suggested that moves like the one the Cruz campaign did are “‘dirty tricks’ political tactics”, and Cruz has since apologized.

“Ted Cruz didn’t win Iowa, he stole it”, Mr Trump tweeted.

The seven-year-old had joined his father on stage during a campaign town hall event in New Hampshire when the amusing incident happened.

“Trump leads, but will he close it out this time?” said Dr. Lee M. Miringoff, director of the Marist College Institute for Public Opinion.

At a rally on Tuesday, the Vermont senator exhorted his followers to come out in force and vote in the primary on February 9 in New Hampshire, a state that Clinton called Sanders’ “backyard”.

“Frankly, right now Marco doesn’t have much of a footprint in the state”, Politico quoted someone identified only as “a Bush GOP operative working in New Hampshire” as saying.

He will also have a confident Marco Rubio chasing him who after his third place surge in Iowa is viewed as a unifying candidate for the Republicans.

Trump also ripped Cruz over a controversial campaign mailer that aimed to get Iowans to the polls by claiming they had committed “violations”.

Despite coming in the bottom of the field in Iowa, Christie said he’s confident he will be the candidate taking on Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton in the fall.
