John Terry to leave Chelsea at end of season
“He was the symbol of cohesion inside Chelsea‘s club because him, Frank Lampard, Didier Drogba and (Petr) Cech were the players who carried the club’s values for long periods”.

There is one small glimmer of a playing future for Terry at Chelsea, if Mourinho’s permanent successor deems his services are required.
Speaking to British media on Sunday, the Chelsea captain said: “To be honest, I was in last week before the Arsenal game and it’s [the contract] not going to be extended”.
Terry, 35, is the most iconic Chelsea captains in club history, and has won a number of honours-including four Premier League titles, fiv FA Cups, one Champions League and the Europa League.
“John was advised that while no new deal was now on the table, that situation could change in the coming months”, said a Blues spokesman.
Chelsea have not made an official decision regarding their captain’s departure.
He continued: “The problem for the players is that it stops very early in your life”. If he wants to give it somewhere else, you have to respect that.
The Blues legend sensationally revealed he will leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season after the club intimated they would not offer him a new deal.
Chelsea’s John Terry warms up before the match at Stamford Bridge on December 9, 2015.
Former Chelsea skipper Ray Wilkins told Sky Sports: “He will be a tremendous loss to Chelsea and I think there was another year left in him”. “He will [continue] to do this regardless of the situation he is in and be professional”. He’s not what you would normally see a 35-year-old, 36-year-old player, that you feel that you get a little bit slower, you can not accept that you’re getting into a danger zone for red cards. He is fit and performing well, as he has been while I’ve been here. Major League Soccer and China are thought to be his most likely destinations come July. Since I have been at the club, I haven’t seen him play badly.

Terry’s star has waned at Chelsea from last season, when he was a pivotal figure in Chelsea’s first Premier League title in five years. I want to be out there and a big part of things if I possibly can.
