Super Bowl 50 predictions: Panthers vs. Broncos final score picks from readers

Peyton Manning might be the best regular-season quarterback of all time, but his teams haven’t scored many points in his three Super Bowl appearances.

Kapri Bibbs grew up a Green Bay fan in the heart of Bears country. Before he began working with Newton, Shula’s reputation was that of a career NFL assistant coach with no realistic chance of becoming a pro football head coach one day, and one who appeared woefully unprepared for the spotlight during his four-year head-coaching tenure with the Crimson Tide last decade.

Denver, on the other hand, had been a perennial championship contender ever since quarterback Peyton Manning arrived in the 2012 season.

When Manning was drafted first overall in the 1998 NFL Draft, the Jaguars were just a fledgling franchise, struggling to make their mark. Allen, now in his 12th season and a likely Hall of Famer, is playing in his first Super Bowl.

But don’t fool yourself.

Outside of that, both teams look rather healthy heading into the Super Bowl.

Carolina has too much firepower. He was risky as a passer and a runner. He’s also started two games when the Panthers have opened in a jumbo formation.

We can pretty much all agree that the Panthers biggest weakness is wide receiver depth.

This was Tuah’s first time handling the duties.

But the Eagles also don’t have a quarterback like Newton who can overcome that.

While being treated at Children’s Hospital in Aurora, the now-16-year-old became involved with the hospital’s radio station, going on the air twice a week.

For local fans this year’s Super Bowl match-up is drawn over division lines. Cowboys fans everywhere would be happy to see DeMarcus Ware claim a Super Bowl ring after a long and decorated career in Dallas. The Eagles ranked 30th.

As an interesting parallel, the Carolina Panthers, like the Jacksonville Jaguars, entered the league in 1996.

Everybody will be looking for Cam Newton to put up astronomical numbers, and he might just do that, but the Panthers will be more focused on getting Jonathan Stewart loose in the running game. That is a lot easier said than done. “The Panthers are going to keep pounding their way to the championship”. The Broncos have one of the NFL’s best defenses (statistically, not as good as the Chiefs defense) and Cam is the soon-to-be-named MVP. Still, you’d have to think the Eagles will improve on defense with Jim Schwartz taking over at defensive coordinator and switching to a 4-3 scheme.
