Lesia explained that she delivered that baby herself because her husband, John, 24, kept driving down the highway towards the Bay Area Birth Center, Pasadena California at her insistence.

The baby is the couple’s third child. “So I stabilized it on my leg and just kind of held it with my fingers”. The young couple married three years ago and says they plan to have more children.
According to the video, Lesia and her husband were in the auto for 45 minutes before filming started, and only about one minute into the longer version of the video, Pettijohn’s water breaks. “Hold him upside down”, Jonathan is also heard giving instructions and support to his wife.
“Oh my goodness, it’s a boy”, she exclaims as they pull over at a petrol station. “I didn’t know if he was breathing okay”.
“It’s a boy. He came out right in the auto!” The new parents then give each other a well-deserved and exhausted high-five. With their first two babies, Lily and Eowyn, there hadn’t been any video, he said. Her partner calmly asks her if she wants help before she realizes the baby is coming.
Birthing centre staffers were surprised to find Josiah already in hand when the couple arrived.
