Derby receives golden football for Super Bowl contributions
This year, Super Bowl fans can expect even more of a Wi-Fi wow factor, as Levi’s Stadium is equipped with IT infrastructure that is created to “withstand wireless traffic more than doubling last year’s Super Bowl total”, according to the International Business Times.

“Every year, fans (coming) to the Super Bowl become more connected and more tech savvy, but this year presents an awesome opportunity in terms of technology, given Levi’s Stadium’s state-of-the art technology and the connectivity in and around the Silicon Valley”, Michelle McKenna-Doyle, the NFL’s chief information officer, said via email.
If you’re heading out west to be a part of Super Bowl 50 festivities this weekend, a can’t miss event is Super Bowl City right off Market Street.
A delegation of Houston officials are attending Sunday’s big game in Santa Clara, California, and visiting with the NFL.
The Denver Broncos (who won the American Football Conference championship) will take on the Carolina Panthers (the National Football Conference champs) in the big game. You can refer to my Twitter page @WBTVMan to see a lot of what I’m talking about. CNET is calling Super Bowl 50 “the most high-tech Super Bowl to date”, citing how the stadium has pulled out all the stops to provide in-stadium wireless connectivity, an intelligent mobile app and engaging fan experiences with virtual reality.
The new app will allow people at the game to view a Super Bowl commercial once it airs on television, a live camera so attendees can see celebrities who are at the stadium, and express pickup for merchandise.

Tag along for the mini-tour by watching the video above. For the Super Bowl, it’s a ten-day event, really. Third, in a special change in honor of half a century of Super Bowls, an 18-karat gold “50” trophy designed by Tiffany & Co. will go to the winning team.
