Scammers are stepping up their game and setting their sights on Broncos fans who may be desperate to find tickets to the game Sunday.

That’s more than the $4,672 average ticket price for the May, 2015 Mayweather-Pacquiao fight, which is now the most expensive sporting ticket on record.

The least expensive StubHub ticket sold for $1,222 in the upper sideline, and the most expensive ticket sold for $27,983 on the lower prime club. Chefs Santana Diaz and Denari Brown ensured that this will be the most locally sourced menu in Super Bowl history. According to the ticket resale site StubHub, a Palo Alto resident, which neighbors the host city of Santa Clara, bought four tickets at a whopping price tag of $24,168 each.

Ticket prices typically drop in the final days before a game as sellers try to ensure that they unload all of their inventory before the big game, and that has happened this week.

That’s an increase of the average from Super Bowl XLIX, which was held in Glendale a year ago, where the average ticket sold for $4,222. It says the average asking price of all the tickets still listed for sale is $4,755.
