Clinton, Sanders Debate in New Hampshire

Clinton did make a speech in 2007 about the volatility in the subprime mortgage market, but to weave that into her speaking fee tour is malarkey. “But in terms of the early states – Iowa, New Hampshire, the other states – it just doesn’t work”, Sanders said.

Hillary Clinton, former Secretary of State and 2016 Democratic presidential candidate, speaks during the Democratic presidential candidate debate at the University of New Hampshire in Durham, New Hampshire, on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016.

New Hampshire was the setting of Clinton’s upset victory against then-Illinois Sen.

“Enough is enough. If you’ve got something to say, say it, directly, but you will not find that I ever changed a view or a vote because of any donation that I ever received”, said Clinton. “I happen to share it”. Despite the tensions over policies, the debate ended on a warm note, when Mrs Clinton said the first person she would call would be Mr Sanders, if she won the nomination.

Despite polls that place her behind Sanders in New Hampshire, Clinton told Granite State Democrats Friday that she’s not giving up on them. Clinton is favored in numerous big post-New Hampshire states, because of decades of relationships with politicians, leaders in communities of color and party activists. CNN reported more than half of the 1,681 Democratic caucuses used a new Microsoft reporting app. Of those, there were exactly seven county delegates determined by coin flip.

Born during president Bill Clinton’s second term in office, she says she is leaning towards the Democrats for her first-time vote.

Bernie Sanders complained on the campaign trail Friday that dialing for dollars “affects your entire being”.

Clinton added that while no candidate “can do it alone”, or has all the answers, it’s important to look at not whether they get knocked down, but if they get back up – something she said she has done.

Clinton has accused Sanders of “cherry-picking” from her past comments and said his questions about her Wall Street ties amount to “very artful smear”.

Hillary Clinton is shedding some of the caution that has been a trademark over three decades in public life as she urgently tries to surpass rival Bernie Sanders in New Hampshire. She said she will defend every American’s rights and fight sexism, racism and discrimination of all types. “And there is no way to predict what comes in the door of that White House from day to day that can pose a threat to the United States or one of our friends and allies, and I think this is a big part of the job interview that we are all conducting with the voters here”. That state borders Sanders’ home state of Vermont.

Clinton has slightly outspent Sanders on radio and television spots aired so far, according to political advertising tracker Kantar Media’s CMAG data.

“But I am pretty proud that we have over a million people who have contributed to our campaign averaging 27 bucks apiece”, he added. In comparison, Clinton has nearly total name recognition among voters. The shift in rhetoric may raise questions about who and what Clinton really is.
