But in a game that featured 14 lead changes and 13 ties, Taylor delivered the most devastating blows. Each line produced a goal as Minnesota (14-12-0, 9-2-0 Big Ten) got back on track.
Five-stars Menet and Sanders were the top two prospects in Pennsylvania, but Penn State only signed one of the eight four-stars in the state – Lake-Lehman offensive lineman Connor McGovern. Every line was shuffled before Friday night’s game against Penn State.
Hudson Fasching scored the game’s first goal to put Minnesota up 1-0, but Penn State (16-8-3, 6-5-0) responded with a goal and then looked to go up 2-1, but the Nittany Lions’ second score was overturned upon review for goaltender interference.
Penn State welcomed 16 student-athletes, who signed National Letters of Intent to join the football program.
Penn State has struggled against the three-ball this season and with so many weapons, the Hoosiers offense will pose problems for the Nittany Lions defense.
IN has had success against Penn State recently, but this should not be a game they take lightly.
But Taylor mounted his own run to the delight of the Bryce Jordan Center’s biggest crowd of the season. Taylor wouldn’t score again until he hit a midrange shot with 28 seconds left.
Garner, however, leads the team in minutes per game with 34.7 and does a solid job of scoring the basketball with 13.7 points per game.
“I can’t say it was our most efficient game”, Lucia said. The Hoosiers finished well below their averages in each category making just 36.2 percent of their field goals and shooting 33.3 percent from 3-point range against the Nittany Lions.
Tom Crean has grown used to frenetic finishes when his squad has matched up with Penn State recently. Meanwhile, Sheehy and Cammarata now have four points each in the last four games.

Two guys to watch out for on this Penn State team, however, are senior forward Brandon Taylor along with sophomore guard Shep Garner. IN can’t be caught looking down the schedule because with Iowa and Michigan State coming up next, getting a win against Penn State seems like a must.
