Trump Hits Cruz for ‘Fraud,’ Calls for Do-Over in Iowa
Some Cruz allies shared that news widely on the night of the caucuses, including to Carson supporters, but did not include the part about Carson remaining in the race.

“I think they are very amusing”, Cruz said.
Cruz’s appearance in SC – which doesn’t hold its primary for another three weeks – instead of New Hampshire, which votes next Tuesday, is for a reason: the Cruz gameplan relies on him besting Donald Trump here.
On NBC’s “Today” show Wednesday, Trump said he was “semi-satisfied” with his second-place finish. In fact, Marco Rubio, came in third, exactly where we predicted he would.
At issue- after CNN accurately reported that Carson was stopping in Florida for a few days after his Iowa loss before resuming campaigning, the Cruz campaign tried to pushed out its own version to Iowa caucus sites suggesting Carson was quitting the race.
Cruz, who inflicted a stunning defeat in the Iowa Caucus on Monday, is a distant second with 14 per cent, followed by the rising star Marco Rubio with 12 per cent. Trump said that he spent the least money and had been way behind in the state.
Trump started to fire of a storm of angry tweets on Wednesday accusing Cruz, claiming that he had stolen the caucuses.
“It was an interesting yesterday, I don’t know if you guys saw”. Carson was going home, but not to give up his presidential aspirations, just to recharge his batteries before the New Hampshire primary.
“It was such a big story that I came in second (and didn’t win)”.
Trump also said Cruz told voters that Trump supported Obamacare – the ultimate sin among Republican voters – which Trump called “a total lie!”
“Yet another #Trumpertantrum”, Cruz wrote in a retweet of one of Trump’s posts.
“I think it could’ve been with the debate”, he told reporters last night.

“In retrospect, we could have done much better with the ground game”, Trump said, in an apparent slight to his Iowa state director Chuck Laudner. “And I want to congratulate Ted, and I want to congratulate all of the incredible candidates, including Mike Huckabee, who has become a really good friend of mine”. “They said, ‘No, no, his is, but yours isn’t.’ And I said, ‘Oh, that’s wonderful.’ I didn’t understand that”.
