Clinton seeks to cut into Sanders’ New Hampshire advantage

The concerns vary, but Hillary Clinton seems to be having trouble earning the public’s trust.

According to CNN’s analysis, in total, the couple gave 729 speeches from February 2001 until May 2015 – when Hillary launched her presidential campaign – for an average payout of $210,795 each address.

Reporter: Hillary Clinton may be down in the polls here in new Hampshire, but don’t count her out yet.

Clinton’s paydays are a point of contention between her and her rival for the nomination, Vermont Sen.

“Both the Sanders and Clinton campaigns have flagged a very small number of concerns for us, and we are looking at them all on a case-by-case basis”, Iowa Democratic Party spokesman Sam Lau told the Register. But Clinton’s headline-grabbing move does not endear her to Sanders supporters, who are ready to follow him all the way to the Democratic National Convention next summer. But Americans and the Sanders team saw the real Clinton on Monday night, when she announced that she won before the results were tallied, pushing the headlines into saying victory or tie – but not a loss.

Aides said she was invited by Flint Mayor Karen Weaver and meant to hold a town hall meeting with residents before returning to New Hampshire.

Michelle Rech, a 26-year-old Clinton volunteer, said while she is working with many politically active young women supporting Clinton, other women her age may not be aware of all the things Clinton’s accomplished during her many years in political life.

“The secretary probably doesn’t know that there’s not a day that goes by when I am not asked to attack her on that issue, and I have refrained from doing that”, he said.

It’s unclear when voters will make a final decision, as several nights of tracking have shown few shifts in the share who say they’ve made up their minds.

Sanders won’t contest the result, his campaign said. Earlier in the week, she said that she simply couldn’t imagine not campaigning in the state.

Sanders is in many ways a revolutionary: He wants to upend the established system, which elects one Clinton or Bush after another, and replace it with something much more genuinely democratic. Clinton supporters are hoping those who haven’t decided can be persuaded.

“I think she’s paid her dues”, said Clemence Cote, 54, of Derry. “And I can’t help but think about how I felt when I first came to New Hampshire in 1968 to campaign for my presidential candidate, Gene McCarthy, to end the war in Vietnam”.

“Democrats, Clinton declared at the packed Manchester rally, must keep their eye on the real priority: “[Making] sure we don’t let a Republican back in the White House”.

UPI reports that Chelsea Clinton was in the middle of a speech before the Democratic debate took place and referred to Vermont Sen.

She said she understood that many people were angry and frustrated. That’s particularly true since Clinton will benefit from the efforts of the formidable political machine of Jeanne and Billy Shaheen.
