Fiery, contentious GOP Debate as New Hampshire prepares to vote
Republican U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump passes between rivals Governor John Kasich, former Governor Jeb Bush and U.S. Senator Marco Rubio at the conclusion of the Republican U.S. presidential candidates debate sponsored by ABC News at Saint Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire February 6, 2016.

Rubio’s third-place finish in Iowa gave the Florida senator the edge in the crowded field of candidates viewed as more mainstream alternatives to the bombastic Trump and Texas Senator Ted Cruz, the fiery conservative who won the Iowa caucuses. “He knows exactly what he’s doing”, Rubio said early in the debate, arguing that Obama, far from being incompetent, was actually engaged in a “systematic effort to change America”, and that he would do a better job a president.
“We’ve watched it happen, everybody, for the last seven years”.
“You have not been involved in a consequential decision where you have had to be held accountable”, Mr. Christie said.
Chris Christie told a campaign rally in Bedford on Saturday that Trump would be welcomed back to the stage “with open arms”, and the New Jersey governor was thrilled that “none of you people made enough fun of Donald Trump to make him not come tonight”. “Under Chris Christie’s governorship of New Jersey, they’ve been downgraded nine times in their credit rating”.
Christie cast Rubio as a lightweight who excels only at giving canned “memorized 25-second responses”.
By electing Obama, the United States got “soaring eloquence”, but few results, he noted.
And he focused his venom on Rubio, ignoring for this moment the fact that Cruz – who’d like to see a quick end to Marcomentum – also is a first-term senator.
“The question was, did he fight for his legislation”.
Bush accused Trump of using eminent domain to take property from an elderly woman for a project in Atlantic City. That is not public objective.
“Shush”, Trump said to Bush as he tried to respond to the attack.
Trump was asked about his use of the power of eminent domain and whether or not voters should be concerned about it. He said eminent domain was a “great” thing and without it, we wouldn’t have schools or bridges. “Certainly, it’s a necessity for our country”, he said.
“It’s a necessity for our country”, Trump said. In what is certainly a first in the history of presidential debates, Donald Trump lashed out at the audience after he was booed for trying to shush Jeb Bush.
Trump, known for his tough stances with calls to ban Muslims from visiting the United States and deport immigrants without the proper documents, also called for a more compassionate approach to the Republican call to repeal Obamacare insurance coverage for Americans.
“The reason they’re not loving me”, he said as the boos continued, “is I don’t want their money”.
“You see, everybody, I want the people at home to think about this”.

A new Suffolk University/Boston Globe poll found Trump leading in New Hampshire with 29 percent, followed by Rubio and Kasich. In his answer, Rubio didn’t mention Trump once. “That’s not the way we’re going to do it when I’m president”, Rubio added, saying he’d stress border security before working on any immigration deal.
