Virginia girl stabbed to death day she vanished
But the truth of what happened to Nicole has been closely guarded by investigators, and officials said little else at the news conference.

Logan Fry, a sophomore who lives on the same floor and also ran track in high school, said Nicole’s death and the arrest of her dorm neighbor was frightening. “I would have told her mother”. She described Nicole having a liver transplant and later slipping into a coma. “Nicole touched many people throughout her short life”.
Police have released few details of the grisly crime, which has shaken this town of roughly 43,000 that’s no stranger to tragedy.
Pettit also said that in order to preserve the integrity of the investigation, her office would release no “additional factual information outside of the courtroom”.
With two former Virginia Tech students in jail in connection to Nicole’s death, some students wonder about safety.
Another student, 18-year-old track athlete David Eisenhauer, allegedly abducted and killed Nicole.
All reminders of 13-year-old Nicole Lovell, killed last Wednesday.
The arrests came after police, following a four-day search, found the remains of Nicole Lovell in North Carolina, about 145 km south of Blacksburg, Virginia, where her home and the university are located.
Eisenhauer faces a sentence of 20 years to life if convicted of first-degree murder, the same sentence Keepers could face if she’s convicted of accessory before the fact. Keepers has a bond hearing scheduled for Wednesday.
Local, state and federal authorities are trying to reconstruct timeline of the students’ movements after Nicole disappeared. Family members have said she apparently slipped out a bedroom window. This undated photo provided by Tammy Weeks shows her daughter, Nicole Lovell, posing when she was 10 in Blacksburg, Va. The 13-year-old girl was found dead just across the state line in Surry County, N.C., and two Virginia Tech st…
Preliminary autopsy results indicate Lovell was stabbed to death, Montgomery County prosecutor Mary Pettitt said.
The prosecutor did not explain why the change was added or give a motive for the slaying.
She says her daughter had a passion for pandas, music and dreamed of being on the television show “American Idol”. Josh Blankenship, a pastor at Auburn Baptist Church, finished reading from her prepared statement. Snider said her daughters told her Lovell showed them a picture of a boy named David, who was 18 and in college. On the contrary, Eisenhauer and Keepers both attended Virginia Tech in Blacksburg. “Eisenhauer used this relationship to his advantage to abduct and then kill her”. “Colie once again beat the odds though”, said Weeks.
Blacksburg police said they have evidence showing Eisenhauer knew the girl before she disappeared Wednesday but have not elaborated. Daily Mail reported that the 13-year old girl was reported missing on January 27 and found dead from stab wounds at the same day.
Lantern Ridge, the apartment complex where Nicole lived, sits amid the maze of mostly student housing roughly a half mile from Main Street, which stretches downtown to the Virginia Tech campus. Another charge of being an accessory before the fact was filed Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities believe Lovell died on or about January 27, the same day she went missing. Her body was discovered on Saturday afternoon near the Virginia-North Carolina border.
Natalie Keepers, left, and David E. Eisenhauer, right, have been charged in the death of 13-year-old Nicole Madison Lovell.
Pettitt said Virginia Tech student Natalie Keepers, 19, who previously was accused of helping to dispose of Lovell’s body, will now also face a charge of being an accessory before the fact of a first-degree murder. The two students from Maryland made their initial court appearances Monday but said little.
