Google Maps Timeline Lets You Stalk Yourself
This is not news, but to really ram the point home, Google is releasing a tool that lets you go back through history, and retroactively follow your every move. Of course, Google notes that this data is all private to you and you can delete it all at any time, either by the day or en masse.

As usual with Google updates, this is a staged rollout so it may take a while for the update to hit your device via the Play Store.
Have you ever wanted a way to easily remember all the places you’ve been – whether it’s a museum you visited during your last vacation or that fun bar you stumbled upon a few months ago? That data has now been streamlined and is fully accessible in the Google Maps app on Android thanks to the latest 9.12.0 update.
➤ Your Timeline: Revisiting the world that you’ve explored [Google]. If you’ve got Location History turned on (it is by default, but that’s easy to change in Google’s privacy hub), you can open Maps, and view your “real-time routines”-i.e. voyeuristically stalk yourself like there’s no tomorrow”.
It’s inspiring – in a mad sort of way – to consider how efficient Google can be in keeping track of information about you. If you tag something, it’ll start showing up in Google Maps if you’re logged in.
You can also edit locations in Your Timeline, either by removing or renaming them. The timeline also shows pictures that may have been taken at those locations.
