Iman Abdulmajid briefly resurfaced on her Twitter page to share a post about “love and gratitude” as she broke her silence online for the first time since the “Starman” hitmaker tragically died last month after a battle with cancer. Fans worldwide, including fellow celebrities, mourned the loss and many expressed their feelings through social media throughout the month.

In an Instagram post Saturday, Bowie’s widow’s message was simple: “Love and gratitude”. News earlier this week Iman is “very touched by all the support from friends, family and fans”.

Iman re-entered the public eye Wednesday when she was photographed outside her SoHo apartment walking Max, the couple’s Cavalier King Charles spaniel and Havanese mix.

Shortly before Bowie’s death was publicly announced, she had also shared another quote, “The struggle is real but so is God”.

Iman, 60, seems to feel comfortable communicating via Instagram as she recovers from Bowie’s death.

“I don’t know where I’m going from here”, he had told the crowd.
