Performing the National Anthem is only a slot that is a few minutes long, but this is Lady Gaga we’re talking about, and nothing is ever as it seems with her. Having joined Snapchat earlier today, Gaga has been giving us a behind-the-scenes look at her journey to the Super Bowl, and she is looking pretty wonderful.
Bruno Mars and producer/DJ Mark Ronson arrived at the flawless time to liven things up, mixing their massive hit “Uptown Funk” with a throwback rendition of MC Hammer’s “Too Legit to Quit”.
Meanwhile, Beyonce recently gave a rare interview with CBS, where she reflects on her 2013 Super Bowl performance featuring none other than Destiny’s Child.
Rihanna did just drop her new album Anti last week, and it would be great promotion for her new songs! Coldplay, Beyonce and Bruno Mars were the main performers this year.
Besides Bey, Bruno Mars will be taking the stage as well, which will be his second appearance after he put on an incredibly solid set at Super Bowl 48 in 2014.
An homage to Michael Jackson fit right in, especially given how influential Jackson was to Beyonce.
Chris Martin, the lead singer of Coldplay, told reporters during a press conference on Thursday (4Feb16) he and his bandmates are putting forth their best efforts to make the halftime show memorable this year.
Then after the big game you can see a special episode of the Late Show with Stephen Colbert, followed by KOLR10 News at 10.
