This man threw the loneliest Super Bowl party in the universe

Even so, he wasn’t about to miss out on Super Bowl 50.

On Sunday, Kelly shared a latest picture on Super Bowl from high above Levi’s Stadium in the Bay Area.

Kelly may not have a giant screen to watch the game, but will be among the very few in the world who can claim of seeing the Super Bowl in space.

Maybe when he gets back on solid ground he will be surprised with an actual party with many people and other food except nachos and space rations. It’s unfortunate too, as Kelly exclaimed that he “would’ve served nachos!”.

On a year-long mission to the International Space Station, Kelly has prepared a solo set-up for the big event and has been capturing awesome shots from the outer space.

“No one showed up”, Kelly wrote in a Facebook post. Instead, he enjoyed the game by himself as he orbited around Earth.

Also a retired U.S. Navy captain, Kelly now holds the record for total number of days spent in space by an American astronaut. His year-long mission aboard the ISS will end on March 2, 2016. The astronaut has been keeping himself live on Twitter, offering smart replies and amusing anecdotes, along with some details about the tough conditions in space.

However, Kelly seems to be keeping his spirits up in spite of the isolation away from his family and harsh conditions.

While Kelly didn’t announce his pick for the game, it is a well-known fact that Kelly is a Houston Texans fan.
