Liverpool’s German manager Jurgen Klopp is pictured before the start of the English FA Cup fourth round football match between Liverpool and West Ham United at Anfield in Liverpool, north west England, on January 30, 2016.
With a convalescing manager, mounting injuries and fans in revolt against the club’s hierarchy, Liverpool’s preparations for tomorrow’s FA Cup replay at West Ham United have been less than ideal.
Bilic said: “He is a good player, his quality was never in doubt, the problem was that he was not available”.
Both teams will want to play well although this match might favor West Ham more than it favors Liverpool since not only are the Hammers at home but they will be fresher since they have played one less game in the result hectic schedules.
West Ham, who lost 1-0 to Southampton at the weekend, recorded a memorable double over Liverpool in the league this season. The 26-year-old striker was named among the substitutes for Liverpool’s 2-2 draw against Sunderland on 6 February, but Bilic said West Ham will be prepared for whatever the Reds throw at them.
“Sturridge is a great player and has been injured”. “We’ve played them two times recently with different lineups”.

Liverpool have managed to win just 12 of their 28 games under Klopp but Bilic has dismissed suggestions that he will rush back to the dugout because of pressure. “For him its natural”.
