Amy Schumer and Seth Rogen appeared in a Bud Light commercial aired during Super Bowl 50 as the faces of the “Bud Light Party”. However, Anheuser-Busch, Bud Light’s parent company, signed a deal with CBS that gives them an advertising discount.

The brand has roped Weiden+Kennedy from NY to design a commercial that taps into the whole political thing that is so hot these days following sentimental statements and aggressive promises from nominated candidates.

But, hey, there is Paul Rudd too.

The Bud Light Party is the first campaign to bring to life Bud Light’s new “Raise One to Right Now” tagline, created to provide a unique and light-hearted Bud Light perspective on timely cultural moments. You’re never confused as to what the commercial is for. A 30-second ad this year costs $5 million.

There was a game last night between two teams, and one of them took home a trophy, but the real winners of Super Bowl Sunday were the advertisers, whose various multi-million dollar campaigns arguably dominated the social media sphere more than the sports match.

The spot mocks the political ads that have been flooding the airwaves, especially for voters in early primary states like New Hampshire.
