Beyoncé announces Edmonton stop on world tour
Coldplay have tweeted to send their “love” to Bruno Mars and Beyoncé for joining them at the Super Bowl halftime show yesterday (07.02.16).

The energy on the field soared even higher when Martin introduced Mars, who sang and grooved with a backup band and dancers to “Uptown Funk”.
Now, Mars did a great job with “Uptown Funk”, but Beyonce’s “Formation” was on some other level.
The Single Ladies superstar joined Coldplay and Bruno Mars for the Super Bowl half-time show and entered rocking out to the new single, which she dropped on Friday.
But Coldplay isn’t the reason the Super Bowl 50 halftime show is now racking up millions of hits on YouTube; it’s because people want to see Beyoncé again. Like the many movies it has soundtracked since “Garden State”, Coldplay drummed and strummed along dutifully, but firmly in the background.
Finally, Beyoncé took the field (literally, she didn’t appear onstage) with “Formation”, before she and her team of dancers progressed to the stage to battle Bruno Mars and his team of dancers. These are not groups that are reaching the top of the charts. The politically-charged clip shows Beyonce in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, dressed as a slave owner and features a black boy dancing in front of white riot police with the caption “Stop shooting us”.
Rudy Giuliani, the former mayor of NY, said he found the show distasteful. Rolling Stone writer Rob Sheffield wrote of Beyonce’s headlining turn in 2013, “Bey ran the world with superhuman renditions…”
Now Beyonce isn’t one to shy away from making a statement – remember her VMAs performance in 2014 where the word ‘FEMINIST’ was proudly projected behind her in big, bold capital letters?
