Broncos LB Von Miller named MVP

“There’s been a lot of great teams, a lot of great defenses”, he said, “But I think in the modern era, where offenses move the ball nowadays, it’s a wide-open game, I think we play as good as anybody”.

Denver’s MVP linebacker Von Miller set the tone early on with a sack that forced Panthers quarterback Cam Newton to fumble, resulting in a Broncos touchdown.

If the Eagles can make their pass rush as good as it has the potential to be, the front line could mask the other issues on the team, such as quarterback – something the Broncos showed in Super Bowl 50.

– A brilliant legacy was cemented in Super Bowl 50. “That’s it. They scored more points than we did”.

The 1985 Bears shut out the Giants and Rams in the playoffs before allowing 10 points to the Patriots in Super Bowl XX. “He said, ‘Don’t make an emotional decision.’ This has been an emotional week, an emotional night”.

He tugged Manning by the back of his jersey to put him on the turf another time, and he came from behind to shake up the Broncos offense, too. The ball was recovered by Broncos defensive end Malik Jackson for the first touchdown of the game and a 10-0 Denver lead.

When asked what happened and if he was just trying to extend the play by picking the ball up, Newton only shook his head and said, “no”.

Tight end Ed Dickson told the Charlotte Observer that the Panthers “left the tackles out to dry” by putting them in too many one-on-one matchups.

Denver sacked Newton six times, and held him to a passer rating of just 55.4. “Obviously I am going to pick them”. We can’t turn the ball over in our own red zone. Coach Kubiak says all the time that life is 90 percent fair. “They hadn’t played a real team”.

Newton finished the game completing 18 of 41 passes for 265 yards and one interception. We had a close game. That’s what (defensive coordinator Wade Phillips) has been preaching to us all year.

Wow. A furious Cam Newton, 26, stormed off the stage right in the middle of a post-Super Bowl press conference on February 7!

“We definitely had a successful season, but you know we let so many people down”, Davis said. That’s how I got through it all.

A somber Newton was extremely short answering questions with reporters, eventually exiting the stage.

And despite all of those missed opportunities, the Panthers still had a chance to win the game – thanks to their defense – after stopping the Broncos on four straight drives spanning the third and fourth quarters.
