Today, the country’s biggest network Telstra, which services 16 million customers has dropped the ball in a pretty big way by announcing huge network outages.
Customers in a number of states have reported “no service”, and are unable to make phone calls, send text messages or access the internet.
According to outage tracker aussieoutages.com, reports of downed services were mainly coming from Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and several cities in Queensland, Sydney and Melbourne.
A Telstra spokesperson has confirmed there are national outages, but assured furious customers that the company is working to fix the issue.
“We are aware of an issue now affecting mobile voice and data nationally”, a Telstra Spokesman said in a statement”.
The telco’s reseller partners have been inundated with calls from affected users.
