Comparing Cosby’s public persona with his private behavior: A look back
Judd Apatow took on Bill Cosby during a standup set on The Tonight Show Tuesday night, imagining how Cosby might use the accusations of rape as fodder for his stand-up act.

He started his segment by saying: “Cosby is still out on the road”. Isn’t that weird? He’s, like, doing stand-up?
“It’s one of the most tragic things that’s happened in our business, and I think we do have to stand up for the women and say that we believe you”.
“You think he’s like, ‘You ever been in trouble with the wife?'” Apatow said in his best Cosby voice. Over the weekend, the New York Times released a deposition from 2005-2006 in which Cosby described seducing women with the help of drugs.
On “The Daily Show”, Stewart got right to the point, asking, “Does calling someone a war hero count, if you’re doing it sarcastically?” “And the next day I got up and I hid the paper”. So I got up at five in the morning and snuck out to the driveway to get the paper. “But Apatow brings it home with, “‘Do you like the house and the jet?
Apatow, who has been open about his contempt for Cosby, launched into an impression of what he thought his show would be like.
“I’m very proud of the Jews”, the 47-year-old “Trainwreck” director said. “Well then have a cappuccino and shut the eff up”.

“It’s incredibly sad”, Apatow told “Today” last week. And, Nevada recently extended the statute of limitations on all sexual assault cases from four years to 20 years, citing the Cosby case. “I think when people do things like that they should pay the consequences”.
