Tweet from Lynch indicates possible retirement
During the fourth quarter of the Super Bowl, Marshawn Lynch tweeted a photo of green cleats hanging with a peace sign.

The tweet came hours after a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter that Lynch had told several people close to him he was planning to retire.
Lynch tweeted only a picture of football cleats hanging from a wire, along with a “deuces” emoji during Super Bowl 50. His fierce, determined running style became the heartbeat of the Seahawks’ offense, helping the club qualify for two Super Bowls and winning the title in franchise history two years ago.
For as popular as Lynch was on the field for his talent and determined running, he was even more popular off the field for his commitment to teammates and unwillingness to speak to the media. Putting any speculation of a hometown return to play for the Oakland Raiders out of the question as Beast Mode has ended his successful run. Going to miss sharing the backfield with you 24.
Last week, Seattle General Manager John Schneider said in two radio interviews that he thought Lynch was leaning toward calling it a career.
“They should be jumping for joy to have a guy now playing that spot for the league minimum, ” Corry said of Rawls, who had 830 yards as a rookie in 2015 before suffering a broken left ankle (he is expected to recover in time for the season). Known as a maverick off the field, Lynch shot to fame past year when he shunned the media before the Super Bowl, repeatedly telling them: “I’m just here so I don’t get fined”.
Lynch’s exit in February gives Rice nearly six months to convince the Seahawks to give him a tryout.
In all, Lynch wraps up his nine-year playing career with 9,112 rushing yards (at 4.3 yards per carry), 1,979 receiving yards (at 7.9 yards per reception), and 83 total touchdowns in regular season play.
One year after he should have been given the ball on the one-yard line, it looks like it’s all but certain Marshawn Lynch will walk away from the NFL. “I can’t say enough about him”.
Thank you Marshawn Lynch for being a different type of player, and a real person.

There has never been a character quite like Lynch in the National Football League before. Lynch went into beast most once again, breaking through several defenders to run 79 yards for a score.
