Louis van Gaal slams media for questions about his Manchester United future
United remains lodged in fifth and the gap to the fourth Champions League place has grown to six points, adding to the sense of uncertainty surrounding the future of manager Louis van Gaal, despite some promising signs from the team. However, United bounced back to produce “sparkling” football with two convincing back-to-back wins lately. But instead of initially directing his anger towards his lazy winger Memphis Depay, he appeared to take umbrage with the officials.

Having played in the same side as United assistant manager Ryan Giggs for the best part of a decade, Silvestre is all too aware of the Old Trafford legend’s qualities which he believes will see him manage the club one day.
Some reports have claimed that former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is waiting in the wings to take over when Van Gaal is sacked.
“If you are in a club that wins, if you want to win again, you have to create instability in the winners”, said the 53-year-old when asked about facing new challenges in his career. Van Gaal said, referring to Ferguson’s four-year wait to win a trophy in his 26-year reign.
“It was not a boring match”. For the second match in a row, Cameron Borthwick-Jackson’s low, fizzed cross set up an opening goal for Jesse Lingard.
“But you write what you like”.
Van Gaal questioned whether the reporter had spoken to either Ed Woodward, the club’s chief executive, or the Glazers, the owners, to find out what was going on behind the scenes.
But Chelsea have won only two of the eight league games they have played since Hiddink came in and with 17 points separating the champions from the top four, he was fatalistic about his side’s chances of Champions League qualification.
“It is not easy to play here because the level of the individual players is very high at Chelsea”. I have played alongside him on the left for most of the time, even in training.
“I know we have to play a very nasty duel against Chelsea and of course I will say to my players “fantastic performance, until the last quarter”.
The United captain suggested after last week’s FA Cup victory at Derby that Van Gaal had released some of the shackles on the team.

I suppose fans don’t really think about the family and how that can effect a decision for a manager in much the same fashion as a player’s wife and family are important to their decision about to where to play.
