Following reports that Hillary Clinton’s lead over Senator Bernie Sanders (D-VT) is shrinking in Iowa, the progressive upstart is getting closer and closer to besting the establishment favorite.

“We have no plans to sanction any further debates before the upcoming first-in-the-nation caucuses and primary, but will reconvene with our campaigns after those two contests to review our schedule”, DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz said in response to the proposed debate. One in March, April and May and none on a Friday, Saturday or holiday weekend.
But Sanders campaign manager Jeff Weaver said late Wednesday that Sanders would be willing to participate in New Hampshire if the DNC added three more debates after the ones now scheduled.
Clinton’s two main Democratic challengers, Sanders and former Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley, have long called for more debates. “That’s where Hillary Clinton lost me, because there was plenty of information that even I had that said there was a real problem with the logic involved”, she said. “If the Clinton campaign will commit to this schedule, we would ask the DNC to arrange a debate in New Hampshire on February 4”.

Sanders addressed the chatter about the Politico interview Wednesday, denying that the president was trying to turn the race in Clinton’s favor. In a statement, Sanders said the ad “completely distorts my record”. “I’m sorry, but for me, you can’t get a bigger decision than that and we’ve been paying the price ever since”.
Both Clinton and Sanders have high favorability ratings, and voting for either candidate will leave most voters feeling either “enthusiastic” or “satisfied”.
Pete D’Alesandro, who is working for Sanders in Iowa, told MSNBC that they were suspicious of how a corporation might respond to an anti-corporate candidate like Sanders and wanted to be able to verify the results for themselves. “Sanders has significant momentum”, he added.
“The goal is to make sure that all the Democrats, or folks running in the Democratic primary, are focused on continuing the progress that we have made”, Obama said in an interview with an NBC affiliate in Richmond, Virginia.
She then went on to accuse Clinton of waffling and only backing issues as they become more politically correct.
