Manchester United keeper, David De Gea, is the next victim of the deadly Football Leaks saga that is threatening to unravel all of Europe’s top athlete’s contracts with clubs.

One player about who there will be continued speculation is David de Gea, who was silent on his future all last summer and nearly move to Real Madrid.
The goalkeeper looked set to complete his dream move to the Santiago Bernabeu when the teams reached an agreement on the last day of the summer transfer deadline, but the deal broke down at the last minute because of an issue with the paperwork.
The 25-year-old was due to pick up around £175,000 a week, plus bonuses, until June 30 2021.
The contract is hard to read from the uploads, and having them in Spanish does not exactly help either, but various signatures from De Gea and Madrid director Jose Angel Sanchez Periañez can be made out.
In total, De Gea stood to earn more than £66m from the duration of the contract.
And, the key document in the deal, Real Madrid’s registration of De Gea with the Spanish football federation is here.

De Gea went on to sign a new deal at Manchester United, and amid a clutch of several fine performances, has gone on record to state his happiness with life at Old Trafford.
