It’s a fact that seemed solidified by the scene at the Kendall + Kylie fashion launch on Monday night.

Kendall sees the new venture as a way to connect more with fans. The 2- year old model and her 18 year old celebrity sister have collaborated on a Topshop collection previously but the unveiling of the Kendall + Kylie SS16 ready-to-wear line, inspired by the style cities of Paris, New York, and Dubai, is all their own.

The clothing and footwear line launch comes just days before the start of New York Fashion Week.

“We designed it according to what we love, and how our style is”, the older Jenner tells PEOPLE. “We have similar tastes so we mesh really well”.

The fashion forward siblings celebrated their debut with momager Kris Jenner and brother-in-law Kanye West as well as BFFs Hailey Baldwin and Gigi Hadid. “But then I would leave school and bring Kylie with me, even though she didn’t have permission”. A young girl wanting to have fun.

“After two long years of dreaming about this, I am so excited to finally share my cosmetic secrets with you guys”, she wrote. “That’s mainly what we designed”.

“When you put us together, you get each of our styles”, Kendall said. “Same! You kinda see what everyone loves and you kind of feed off of that”, Kendall echoes. Instead, Kendall and Kylie’s fashions willbe available at several high-end department stores like Bloomingdale’s, Nordstrom, Lord & Taylor, Neiman Marcus, and Saks Fifth Avenue.
