Apple users you better don’t get your device repaired from a shop other than Apple Store if you want to keep using your device.

Thousands of iPhone 6 users faced a mysterious error code called “Error 53” after installing the latest update for iOS9.
Kyle Wiens, head of electronics-repair site iFixit.com, said Error 53 has become a big issue for iPhone users, sparking 70 conversations on his site, including one with 173,000 views. The issue, it said, is connected to the home button on the phone which “contains a Touch ID thumbprint reader that can be used to unlock the device rather than inputting a four-digit security code”.
If your iPhone’s home button was replaced by an unauthorised service center, you will see the “Error 53” showing up.
The Cupertino based tech has confirmed about the “Error 53”, saying that the message is actually the company’s technique of preventing Touch ID-related security breaches. Moreover on their official website Apple has mentioned that if in case one has got their handset repaired from apple store or apple certified store they can contact the apple support.
In defense, Apple claimed that Error 53 is here to protect the security of their customers.
If Apple intends on requiring iPhone service to be handled exclusively in-house, the company needs to make customers well aware of that when buying a device – and not simply punish them for trying to use their phones.
The company, however, advised iPhone users who are experiencing such problem to contact Apple directly or its authorized provider. Error 53 shows up on the phone screen if unofficial parts are put into the phone. Apple won’t replace a device, where the warranty has expired. “Putting up an alert that just says “Error 53″ is nearly comically bad”.
The Touch ID is the main victim here.

The killer message doesn’t appear until a user with a repaired or damaged phone tries to install the newest iOS software, 9. According to recent reports, Apple customers can trade their iPhones at about $50 for iPhone 5s devices, $200 for iPhone 6 units, and $250 for iPhone 6 Plus. A new security feature to protect your Touch ID data renders your iPhone useless and then there’s no way to unbrick it.
