Vardy: I never expected Leicester to top Premier League
The England worldwide and leading scorer in the Premier League has displayed the best form of his career this term and helped Leicester into title contention.

Leicester City convincingly beat Manchester City to elevate their status as Premier League title favourites but Arsene Wenger believes Arsenal can defeat Claudio Ranieri’s Foxes at the Emirates Stadium this weekend.
However, Ranieri admitted that because other title contending teams have struggled this season, his side was able to capitalize on their troubles, but will not likely have another opportunity to do so.
The Foxes are now comfortably ahead in the Premier League title race.
He said: ‘They’re (Arsenal) up there, we’re up there, (Manchester) City are, Tottenham, Manchester United might be 10 points adrift but the way this season’s going those 10 points can be picked up quickly. “Should they win the EPL we will be paying out £2 million plus”, said William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams.
“When I was at Halifax I never thought I would earn a move to the Conference but I got that, then kicked on and from there you would never have thought there would be a move to Leicester, then playing for England. We think for the next game, step by step, and at the end of the season we will know what happened”. “Next week we go to Arsenal: another fantastic team, another fantastic stadium”.
It is not simply “the pinnacle of the iceberg”, as Ranieri calls lethal strike pair Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez, who are excelling. “I am very happy that he will stay with us for a long time”.
He also set a new Barclays Premier League record when he scored in 11 straight games earlier in the season. I want to be part of it for a long time.
And yet they played with drive, conviction and confidence from the moment Huth put them in front, mixing defensive defiance with those lightning counter-attacks that have punctuated their season. “If the players want to win more, it’s important to really concentrate”.

“Leicester all play without fear and I don’t think Leicester are going to wobble with the likes of Jamie”. We started strong and after that you could see that our worry was to keep the result.
