Broncos defeats Panthers to win Super Bowl 50

The Denver Broncos shocked the Carolina Panthers 24-10 as the Super Bowl closed out its first half-century on Sunday with an upset and a cliffhanger as Peyton Manning left everyone guessing about his future.

“I’ve been on the record saying that I’m a sore loser”, Newton told reporters at the team’s practice facility in Charlotte on Tuesday.

Mark Bedenbender, who had a prime spot along the metal barrier, said the event is not only a celebration but likely a farewell to Manning, too.

“I don’t think people put enough stock into the fact that he went to the Super Bowl with four different head coaches”, Fulmer said. If you want me to conform, I’m not that guy.

Newton also defended himself for not diving to try to recover his fumble in the fourth quarter that eventually was recovered by the Broncos.

“All these guys helped to get me here”, he said, adding that the team is posed to make a run for a second title next season. I’m going to drink a lot of Budweiser tonight, I promise you that.

“I thought at that time I could be number one, but (Carolina) didn’t see it that way”. “How we lose shows sometimes more about our character than how we win, and that you’ve really got to be gracious because you’re setting an example”. “I think again we know who he is and he does take it hard. But I mean things happen, you’ve got to deal with it, you’ve got to approach things as a man”.

“I think he was looking for the rebound”.

Manning spent part of the regular season on the sidelines with foot and arm injuries, and the Broncos were able to give back-up Brock Osweiler a chance to shine. Ware had two of the seven sacks, the most ever by one team in the Super Bowl.

“The Super Bowl MVP is special, but the Super Bowl ring is something that I will keep with me for the rest of my life”, he said. It’s not a coincidence that the Super Bowl defenses to which the 2015 Broncos are compared all featured MVPs from defense: Smith, Jackson, Lewis and Richard Dent from the 1985 Bears in Super Bowl XX. “I don’t know what I could’ve done differently”.

“We will be back”, Newton said.
