Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma out for 6 months with ACL damage
This is coming on the heels of an injury in his right kneel ligaments which he sustained during Sunday’s clash against Manchester United.

Chelsea claimed in a statement that Zouma will be sidelined for “approximately six months”, although that could be an optimistic timeframe.
Kurt Zouma was snapped walking on crutches after Chelsea’s 1-1 draw with Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
He vowed to return “stronger”.
He tweeted: “Scan today has shown I injured my ACL”.
Zouma has started 16 of the last 19 Chelsea matches in all competitions, displacing Gary Cahill as first-choice alongside captain Terry.
Scans later revealed that the centre-back damaged his anterior cruciate ligament and will undergo surgery to fix the problem in the next 48 hours.
The Chelsea captain has been vocal in the media over the past week and a half about the fact that the club have yet to offer him a new contract, despite club officials publicly stating that they’re waiting to make a decision on a new deal for the 35-year-old.
Spain full-back Cesar Azpilicueta told the London Evening Standard: “It’s a situation between him and the club”.
Gary Cahill is also likely to get more regular games as he battles to get a place in England’s line-up for the Euros. We know his quality and in this squad, it is always important to be ready.

Diego Costa’s late equaliser means Chelsea are still unbeaten under Hiddink, but only two of the Dutchman’s eight Premier League games have been won.
