Stamford High Among 4 Connecticut Schools to Receive Bomb Threats

Stamford High School also dismissed students early after a threatening phone call.

“The students and the teachers took this pretty seriously, so if nothing else, this is a good practice run if, god forbid, something actually does happen”, said Hohn.

School released at 1 p.m. due to the threat.

Bristol police said they received “unspecified threats” at both Bristol Central High School and South Side Elementary School, but investigators determined there was “no immediate danger”.

In West Haven, extra officers were posted at the school until dismissal.

A caller claimed there was a person with a gun at the high school.

Students in Bristol were similarly dismissed after the two schools received telephone threats at about 12:45 p.m. All afternoon activities were canceled at the school. “We are communicating with our state and federal partners to ensure a thorough investigation”.
