Browns reportedly ‘lied’ when Johnny Manziel showed up drunk at practice

According to NFL.com’s Mike Silver, the Cleveland Browns had lied when they said Manziel had to follow concussion protocols in Week 17 to cover up for the fact that the quarterback had showed up intoxicated at a Wednesday practice.

“I was with a Browns player yesterday”, Silver says in his report.

Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel’s ex-girlfriend Colleen Crowley claims he hit her so hard during a confrontation she lost hearing in one ear. The Browns say Manziel was tested by the neurologist and was entered into the league’s concussion protocol. As they passed a valet, Crowley states she pleaded with a valet as the pair left, saying: “Please don’t let him take me”.

Wow can things get any worse for this young man. We shall see, but things are not looking too pretty, AT ALL.

Paul Manziel went on to say that he did not wish to further comment on the situation and requested officers not contact him again unless there is an existing warrant.

“Johnny Manziel was diagnosed with a concussion by an independent neurologist”, the team said.

He is the subject of a criminal investigation after his ex-girlfriend alleged in a police report that Manziel hit her repeatedly, rupturing her eardrum during an assault in late January. “He was later placed in the concussion protocol & sent home”. Manziel, a former Heisman Trophy victor at Texas A&M whose two seasons in the National Football League have been marked by numerous off-field incidents amid inconsistent play, is expected be released soon by the Browns. “I do not have direct knowledge of what Manziel may have told the doctor or what doctors who evaluated him, or what might have been suggested”. Although we don’t know all of the details about what happened between Manziel and Crowley in Fort Worth, her statements since then haven’t indicated that she meant to walk anything back this time.

On Tuesday, NFL Media’s Mike Silver reported the same. The order was issued, and Manziel has to stay away from Crowley for two years.

“I started crying even more”, Crowley said in her affidavit, “and he told me ‘Shut up or I’ll kill us both!’ Then I started begging him not to kill me and he immediately responded, ‘I would never kill you”. Manziel spent 10 weeks there during the offseason about a year ago. “I realized immediately that I could not hear out of that ear, and I cannot today”, Crowley stated in an affidavit that was filed on February 3, seeking protection against Manziel.
