Apple responded on controversial iPhone ‘Error 53’
The law firm believes that Apple has created the “error 53” issue as a way to force iPhone users to pay the higher prices that Apple charges for repairs. The error message bricks the unofficially repaired devices, because of which users permanently lose all their saved data – including messages, photos, and videos. So what do you do if you get Error 53?

Apple is allegedly rendering iPhones useless if it detects they have been repaired by a third party.
“Error 53” – if you see this message pop up on your iPhone 6, it may be time to panic a little.
“If your iOS device has Touch ID (pictured above), iOS checks that the Touch ID sensor matches your device’s other components during an update or restore”, the website stated.
Essentially, as Apple has told the press, the phone’s Touch ID button needs to interact with a “secure enclave” where your fingerprints are stored. “If a customer encounters Error 53, we encourage them to contact Apple Support”, Apple said in an emailed statement to BGR India.
Any third-party repairs that affect this area, like the home-button or the screen, can spur the messages, and thus, the death-sentence, for an iPhone. This check ensures the device and the iOS features related to Touch ID remain secure, “Without this unique pairing, a malicious Touch ID sensor could be substituted, thereby gaining access to the secure enclave”.
“The problem occurs if the repairer changes the home button or the cable”.
The Apple Store Reuse and Recycle iPhone trade-in program has always offered store credit for older models. However, his phone had never been repaired, and Apple Store employees had no idea what was happening.
The new Apple iPhone 5C is displayed at an Apple Store on September 20, 2013 in Palo Alto, California. However, if you are facing the same issue, you will find that your iPhone (if updated) will display the Error 53 message. However, Apple’s point behind bricking such iPhones isn’t because it wants to take up the entire repairing mantle, but because getting the Touch ID repaired by unauthorized shops may compromise the security of your iPhone’s Touch ID.

So with an unofficial iPhone 6 fix, the pairing between Touch ID and Apple’s service can be invalidated, which then leads to Error 53 after updating iOS.
