Lady Gaga sings National Anthem at Super Bowl 50

Pop diva Lady Gaga well and truly earned her noble title on Monday (AEST) in a flawless performance at 2016’s Super Bowl 50.

Lady Gaga’s National Anthem Performance at Super Bowl 50 was no different than any of her other performances – but it stands as a testament to her power and skill as an artist.

The singer performed the national anthem on Sunday and social media went wild praising the her version of “The Star-Spangled Banner”.

The recent Emmy-winner posted a Snapchat video of her dancing to the phenomenal half-time show via Coldplay, Beyonce and Bruno Mars. “I promised myself I was going to look up to see them, because that would be the only time”.

Now the question comes: Was it the best Super Bowl national anthem we’ve ever witnessed?

It was a defining moment for the singer, who recently described it as a “total dream come true”.

“I think it marks what being an American is all about – working hard and the ultimate payoff for the champion is hard work”, she said.

Lady Gaga proved once and for all she has some serious pipes. Whitney Houston’s soaring anthem during the Gulf War, Alicia Keys gravitas after the shootings in Newtown, though he then runs out of specific examples.

Taking on her Snapchat yesterday afternoon, Gaga confirmed that she is now mixing her fifth studio album, and anyone familiar with the album recording process will know that mixing if the final stage.
