Preacher Adds Jackie Earle Haley As Odin Quincannon
Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon’s blasphemous and brutal comic series is very much a product of the ’90s, a story that gives political correctness a big middle finger being stomping its face in with a steel-toed cowboy boot.

When Elizabeth Perkins joined the cast ofPreacher as a character named Vyla Quinncannon, we thought the vile Odin Quincannon from the comics must have been gender-swapped – but it seems that’s not the case as THR reports that the awesome Jackie Earle Haley has booked a six-episode arc as the notorious villain. He’s the top employer in town, running the 125-year-old cattle slaughterhouse Quincannon Meat & Power. What the press release doesn’t mention is if Haley’s character, who will appear in 6-10 episodes of the show, will be anywhere near as messed up as the comic version of Odin.
Not only is Quincannon a loathsome, power-mad individual and a member of the KKK, but he has also a dark secret hidden on the grounds of his meat processing plant. Later, the preacher discovers that Quincannon is having sex with a meat mannequin.
Sam Catlin, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are the executive producers of the series. Imbued with the word of God (the ability to make anyone obey his commands), Jesse hits the road, reunited with his ex-girlfriend, Tulip, and joined by a rowdy Irish vampire, Cassidy, to track down God himself and force him to explain why he abandoned his duties in Heaven.
Preacher marks the third comic book adaptation for Haley, following Watchmen and Human Target.

AMC is yet to declare the premiere dates for the highly anticipated series.
