The star quarterback walked out of his media duties in the aftermath of Sunday’s defeat at Levi’s Stadium, prompting criticism.

“I’m on record as being a sore loser”, he told the Charlotte Observer. “I can’t expect anybody to be laughing and joking and ecstatic about losing a football game”.

“Cam couldn’t have been nicer to me”, Manning said during a victory tour stop on NBC’s “Today” show. “I take pride in that”.

“I am who I am”.

On going after his late fumble: “I didn’t get the fumble, but we can play tit-for-tat”. I don’t have to conform to anybody else’s wants for me to do. And I’m happy to say that. “I mean that”, Newton said. I never proclaimed that I was ideal. With the ball on the turf, it appeared Newton hesitated in his pursuit of the fumble.

– Cam Newton said he has no apologies for his post game actions after the Super Bowl at the end of season news conference Tuesday.

“There are a lot of young people out there looking at who we and we are role models for them and I think again we know who he is and he does take it hard”, Rivera said.

Newton also explained why he didn’t dive on a fumble in the fourth quarter, saying he felt his leg was in a bad position and he might have been injured if he dove for the ball. “So why should we be all smiles when the game is over?”

Newton was sacked seven times – receiver Ted Ginn, who went down once on an aborted trick play – and if Miller wasn’t torturing him, DeMarcus Ware was. “I am my own person”.

“They just played better than us”, Newton said. During the season, “it’s our responsibility to all the Broncos nation to help the team by yelling”, Henderson said. I leave everything on the field.

Panthers coach Ron Rivers applauded Newton for speaking on Tuesday.

“Again, we’re going to enjoy this, let Peyton enjoy this”, Elway said. “He hates to lose”.
