More Women Voted for Bernie Than Hillary Last Night

The poll found Sanders won a majority of votes from independents, voters under 45, self-identified liberals, moderates, men, and perhaps most cutting for Clinton, who is striving to be the first woman president, women.

Republican presidential candidate Ohio Gov. John Kasich talks to Logan Peschiera during his last town hall before Tuesday’s first in the nation presidential primary Monday, Feb. 8, 2016, in Manchester, N.H. Instead of trying to avoid attacking his GOP rivals on the debate stage, Rubio said he’s now prepared to fight back when necessary – particularly with his party’s front-runner Donald Trump.

Cruz, the USA senator from Texas, has for weeks envisioned the Palmetto State as the site of a showdown between himself and Trump, both of whom now have wins under their belt heading into the third nominating contest. That was all expected, though the large margins of victory for the winners were noteworthy, and there’s some interesting factoids in the exit polls, such as Sanders picking up about 85 percent of voters age 18-29, just as he did in Iowa. When polling first began in New Hampshire, Clinton was projected to win by as much as 50 percent, but Sanders has steadily chipped away at her support. Trump, appealing to voters seeking a political outsider, could benefit from the persistent lack of clarity among the more mainstream Republicans struggling to challenge him. Remember that… We are going to make our country so strong.

An estimated 10,000 Jews live in New Hampshire. Marco Rubio and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush all locked in a tight race, along with Cruz. Well, he did well in New Hampshire and now heads to SC where the voters are a lot different than in New Hampshire.

“He doesn’t have to go into SC and do what he did here”, Bruce Berke, a lobbyist who has been advising Kasich in New Hampshire, told CNN. Even less – 40 percent and 37 percent – say the same for Rubio or Cruz, respectively. The New Jersey governor has relentlessly cast the young senator as too inexperienced and too reliant on memorized talking points to become president.

But on Tuesday Sanders’ coalition was strikingly broad, cutting across both ideological and demographic lines, according to an exit poll conducted by Edison Research for the Associated Press and the television networks.

“They are throwing everything at me except the kitchen sink and I have the feeling that the kitchen sink is coming pretty soon as well”, he said. There’s magic in the air with this campaign.

“That’s the thing Bernie Sanders and myself have in common”. Republicans win when people are demoralized, and voter turnout is low.

“People have every right to be angry”, she said, as she conceded to Sanders. Kasich’s 16 percent New Hampshire finish wouldn’t be good enough to nab him a single delegate in any of those states.

At stake Tuesday were less than 1% of the delegates who, at party national conventions in July, will choose nominees to succeed Barack Obama.
