Officers clearing the home found three small children in a garage that was used as an in-home daycare, the news station reports. She did not know the ages of the children. He is charged with two counts of first-degree murder.
Family member Brenda Jackson told KFOR on Tuesday that she didn’t know what could have led to the gruesome crime. The police investigation is ongoing. A notice hanging on the fence beside the garage read, “All weapons prohibited on these premises”, and included symbols of a handgun and knife crossed out in red.
“Luckily, they weren’t injured in any way, shape or form”, Oklahoma City Police Sgt. Ashley Peters said.
Laster’s neighbor said that after the police discovered his grandmother and her husband’s decapitated body, they questioned him, but he initially said someone had killed them. “I said, ‘Well you need to call 911 if you’ve done that, ‘ and he said, ‘I’m thinking about it.’ I said, ‘Thinking about it?”

Officers had spotted Quinton Laster, 20, outside. “He has a history with us, but it’s not extensive”, Peters said.
