In crucial vote, Hillary Clinton fails to rally women
Although, according to Tuesday night’s results, Clinton may not have quite the lockdown on the minority vote she expected. Sanders effectively tied former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in the Iowa caucuses and then handily dispatched her in New Hampshire.

Two of the state’s 24 delegates are now unpledged but will likely be awarded to Sanders once the results are finalized. But if Cruz thinks he can just cruise through SC, he should be warned: the candidate who won with evangelical voters in New Hampshire was Donald Trump.
Ohio Gov. John Kasich, the “happy warrior” who has waged a positive campaign among piles of negative advertising, took second place in New Hampshire on Tuesday night. She campaigned alongside four women US Senators, New Hampshire governor Maggie Hassan and Lilly Ledbetter, the woman after whom an equal-pay law is named.
“There is reason to believe that Trump – who has a habit of going after rivals on the rise – has his sights set on Kasich”.
At his victory party, Mr Sanders, flashing a wide, toothy grin, pointed to the large voter turnout as evidence that only he could energise the Democratic electorate to defeat the Republicans in November’s presidential election.
Final passage of the OH bill comes a day after the New Hampshire primary, where a tough stance against Planned Parenthood might have been received with less enthusiasm by its many moderate Republican voters. Kasich didn’t make the mistake of completely ignoring the Hawkeye State, but he spent little time campaigning here. He added: “Help up us raise the money we need to take the fight to Nevada, South Carolina and the states on Super Tuesday”. But overall, the coalition she’d managed to assemble in New Hampshire eight years ago showed significant signs of fraying. While he is taking his message next to SC, which holds its Republican primary on February 20, Kasich is looking beyond to MI and other Midwestern primaries in March.
“Because of a huge voter turnout… and I say HUUUGE… we won”, Sanders smiled.
Mr Sharpton said he will not endorse a candidate until he and various heads of national civil rights organisations meet with Mrs Clinton next week.
“He doesn’t have to go into SC and do what he did here”, Bruce Berke, a lobbyist who has been advising Kasich in New Hampshire, told CNN.
The comments came after a disappointing 5th-place finish in New Hampshire’s presidential primary.
Kasich also gave a shout out to a Seattle supporter who traveled to New Hampshire.
Mr Sanders and Mr Trump – two political insurgents from opposite ends of the ideological spectrum – have torn down the consensus of their respective party establishments. Remember that… We are going to make our country so strong.

More than half of voters in the Republican primary made up their mind in the past week, according to early exit polls conducted by Edison Research for the Associated Press and the television networks.
