Donald Trump skewered in Funny or Die film
(Funnyordie/Twitter) – On Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2015, amusing or Die released a satirical Donald Trump “biopic” starring Johnny Depp as the business mogul.

The 1980s-styled parody stars an nearly unrecognizable Depp in heavy makeup including trademark comb-over, set to music by the era s soundtrack star Kenny Loggins whose credits include “Top Gun” and “Footloose”.
The new spoof film of Donald Trump, based on his book “Trump: The Art of The Deal”, has begun streaming on the website Funny Or Die, with an all-star cast including Mr Depp, Jack McBrayer, Patton Oswald, Alfred Molina, Michaela Watkins as Ivana Tramp and Stephen Merchant.
Mr Howard joked that the video disappeared for decades, until last summer he wrestled the video tape from a “woman named Ginny”.
Directed by Drunk History’s Jeremy Konner, the film is a sort of play within a play, where we’re watching the first airing of a long lost 1988 TV movie that Trump wrote, directed, edited, and starred in.
“The plan was to move really fast because we thought Trump would go away, as least as a presidential candidate”, amusing or Die Editor-in-Chief Owen Burke told the newspaper. A number of them come from the folks at amusing or Die. He said that it was bumped after the football game went overtime.
Burke describes Depp’s performance as “absolutely bananas”, saying the actor brought a team to get him into character, including styling the classic hair.
That’s a reference to “The Day the Clown Cried”, a 1972 film written, directed and starring Jerry Lewis as a clown imprisoned in a concentration camp.

“It was a insane, completely nuts idea that somehow we pulled off”, amusing or Die co-founder Adam McKay told The New York Times, before adding that “with any luck” the project will annoy Trump.
