Cruz finishes 3rd in New Hampshire primary, Bush 4th

Trump’s win solidifies his front-runner status in the race to be the party’s White House nominee for the November 8 election.

The Republican field remains crowded with more traditional candidates, including Rubio.

It was the first victory for an unconventional campaign that insiders believed would fall apart before the primaries started. Marco Rubio tries to establish himself as the chief rival to Trump and Texas Sen.

Policies proposed by Trump include building a wall across the United States and Mexico border, deportation of millions of undocumented immigrants and, most infamously, a ban on Muslims entering the country. Trump vs whatever candidate he feels is his most immediate threat at the time. “It is just going to take a little longer, but we are going to get there”. “We are going to knock the hell out of ISIS”.

From the left, Sanders channeled anger about Wall Street, a “rigged economy” and fat-cat political donors to defeat Hillary Clinton easily.

Clinton has sought to play down expectations in New Hampshire, noting that Sanders is from neighboring Vermont. But Sanders began an effort to chip away at that edge Wednesday, meeting with the Rev. Al Sharpton in New York City and picking up the support of Atlantic writer Ta-Nehisi Coates, a prominent voice on racial and social justice issues.

In that regard, Christie eagerly collaborated with the Democratic Party press. The campaign said its average donation was $34.

Cruz went on to win the caucus with 27 percent support and eight delegates.

“I’m disappointed with tonight, …but I want you to understand something…Our disappointment tonight is not on you”, he told his supporters. But the muddled contest for third – U.S. Sen.

“It’s not whether you get knocked down”. “It’s OK, I have forgiven him and I am ready to move on, you know the damage was done, you can’t undo it, you just move on”.

For Rubio, it is on to SC and Nevada.

Rubio also struck a strong optimistic note both in his speech and in his note to supporters.

Donald Trump returned to mocking Jeb Bush after the two clashed during ABC’s Republican presidential debate on Saturday night, calling him a “loser” and saying “every time he attacks me he melts like butter”. I’m not going to help him, ‘ ” Kasich said.

His third-place Iowa finish seemed to validate that decision.
