Ohio Gov. John Kasich is in, becomes 16th Republican running for president

You ready for this? Yeah, I actually knew the guy, ok?

Kasich said during his time as governor, there has been job growth, tax cuts and money in the rainy day fund.

In November 2010, he was narrowly elected as governor. Last year, he handily won a second term.

And Ohio is special. The presidential elections will be held in November 2016.

At a speech in South Carolina, the outrageous Republican presidential hopeful gave all within earshot the cell phone number of the state’s senior US senator, Lindsey Graham. It remains to be seen how Kasich’s risky habit of working without a script – something he’s expected to do again Tuesday – will play in the 24/7 hothouse of presidential politics. Nixon obliged, and Kasich flew to Washington for a chat and handshake in the Oval Office. As an eighteen-year-old, he wrote a letter to an actress asking if he could tag along on her visit with President Nixon.

Kasich spoke specifically of the Ohioans who found themselves out of work in the wake of the economic recession.

Pepper, the state’s Democratic Party chairman, said he believes Kasich “blew” his chance to make a statement Tuesday with a lackluster speech while competitors like Donald Trump continue to “take up so much of the oxygen in the room”. This means he has a lot of military and national security experience. And he said despite all the competition, he is the only one with experience that matters.

He added that “we shouldn’t be demonizing law-abiding, hardworking folks”. At least at this point, he is polling in the low single digits, still without sufficient support to be eligible for FOX News’ first Republican primary debate in less than three weeks. He was also a managing director at Lehman Brothers until the firm collapsed in 2008, precipitating the financial crisis and mortgage meltdown.

He briefly ran for president in 1999 but quickly dropped out due to poor fundraising numbers, and then endorsed eventual victor George W. Bush. “You better have a good answer”.

“John Kasich is the very answer to our nation’s needs at this time in history”, Hall said.

It isn’t all about hope, though.

‘The sun is going to rise to the zenith in America again.’. “I promise you”. How so? Well, he was open to Obama’s immigration plan. Strickland voted against the assault weapons ban in Congress in 1994 while Kasich supported the legislation.

But unfortunately, the base of the Republican Party may not be so kind to him, simply because he’s not a far-right winger. Or they could decide to let everyone support whoever they’d like. He is the 16th, and presumably final, Republican to declare his candidacy for president.

Mr Kasich enters the race where he will compete with an unusually crowded and diverse Republican field that includes two Hispanics, an African American, one woman, and a handful of younger candidates.
