Cruz takes third in New Hampshire GOP primary
He swept majorities of men, independents and young people. The dynamic between Clinton and Sanders right now reminds me of when Gary Hart surged against the establishment candidate and overwhelming favorite Walter Mondale in 1984. Reporter: Well, we’ve had no reliable polling since a week before the Iowa caucuses.

Sanders was the most-discussed candidate on the Democratic side, capturing 55.3 per cent of mentions in yaks, or anonymous posts made by users, in New Hampshire, compared with Clinton’s 44.7 per cent, the location-based app said. The second-place finisher was Ohio Gov. John Kasich, with 16 percent of the vote. Sen.
“I am not going to run for president pitting one group against the other, I’m not going to run for president by having a negative message”, he told a town hall crowd. “Maybe greater than ever before”. “He underperformed in Iowa, had a surprise second place to Cruz, and I think that really kind of knocked his campaign off track”.
After coming in first in the Iowa caucuses, Cruz finished a distant third behind Trump on Tuesday night in New Hampshire, though he joked he deserves the same credit Marco Rubio got a week earlier for beating expectations in Iowa. Upcoming contests in SC and Nevada will put new demographics in play. Co-opting him on immigration does not seem promising, given that he cleaned up among voters who don’t prioritize it. Saying he isn’t a real conservative may be important for conservatives, but won’t drive down his strong support among moderates. We are going to start winning again.
The word “expected” is the battleground on the Democratic side. Meanwhile, Cruz now has a one point edge over Clinton, while she holds a 2.4 lead over Bush. But she cast herself as more prepared to make good on her pledges.
“People have every right to be angry”, she said. “But they’re also hungry, they’re hungry for solutions”, she said.
At stake Tuesday were less than 1 percent of the delegates who, at party national conventions in July, will choose nominees to succeed Obama. Ten of the 13 states holding “Super Tuesday” contests have minimum thresholds to quality for delegates. As the pressure mounts on the establishment candidates to close ranks, he might not be in the race much longer.

“Bernie’s main platform is nearly identical to the Green Party’s”, Larry Sanders said in a press release released by the Greens confirming his appointment. Fair enough. Let’s remember that Democrats and Republicans can vote in either primary.
