However, as third-party software has been installed on the device, this breaks Apple’s terms and conditions for the handset, forcing users to fork out for the cost of a brand new phone.
The deadly “Error 53” on Apple iPhone 6 and 6 Plus could pop up even if you replace the original Apple hardware in and around the home button assembly.
An Apple statement read: “Error 53 is the result of security checks created to protect our customers”. “When iPhone is serviced by an unauthorised fix provider, faulty screens or other invalid components that affect the Touch ID sensor could cause the check to fail if the pairing cannot be validated”.
“We protect fingerprint data using a secure enclave, which is uniquely paired to the touch ID sensor”, the spokeswoman told The Guardian.
The company also advised that if a customer sees error 53, they should contact Apple Support at the earliest.
An update to iOS 9 has been turning iPhones into paperweights and its error message is becoming infamous.
Error 53 has become the new talk of town for Apple users and those contemplating to buy Apple devices in the future.
Users are claiming that “Error 53” is rendering their phones useless.
Meanwhile, Apple has released a statement regarding the complaints about the “Error 53” on iPhones. So it may just be that there is something which has gone wrong inside the device like the Touch ID sensor acting up. Apple advice was not to throw your phone out jut yet. But it isn’t the problem, according to the tech expert at iFixit Kyle Wiens.

Apple confirmed that it’s aware of the issue, but says it’s actually a feature of iOS 9.2.1 that is meant to protect the Secure Enclave that contains your fingerprint information. To ensure your phone stays in good working order, they will manually move the touch ID sensor from the broken glass face plate to the new face plate when repairing a cracked screen.
