Foot’s Forecast Executive Director Keith Krichinsky, of Hampstead, said doesn’t expect Carroll County to see flakes until after the evening rush hour. It will be mostly cloudy wiht the best chance for any lingering snow across the far north eastern counties up toward Logan County.

The coastal storm that’s pounding MA isn’t expected to amount to much in ME and New Hampshire, states that rely on heavy snow to drive their economies. Northwest wind around 5 miles per hour. When we talk about typical snow ratio (snow to water) it’s 10:1, so if we get an inch of rain that would translate to about 10 inches of snow under ideal conditions. Colder temperatures and a few chances for snow will be the big story. Total precipitation: 0.2 inches of snow.

Additional opportunities for snow and slow travel will come Tuesday into Thursday as a pair of storms arrive from the Midwest.

Most schools had delayed openings and traffic moved slowly Tuesday morning after several inches of snow fell throughout southwest CT. Wind chills late Friday night and early Saturday morning are predicted to be a chilly -15 degrees to -30 degrees.
